TULSA — The Tulsa House Beautiful Show will feature eco-friendly ways to save on energy bills.

These are some ways suggested for being conscious of the environment and the budget:

•Water lawns and gardens in the morning rather than in the afternoon, when heat would increase evaporation. Position the sprinkler so all the water goes on your lawn and not the driveway and sidewalk.

•Use a solar attic fan to improve air circulation in your attic.

•Consider adding bamboo to your kitchen. With a variety of products including cutting boards, bowls, cabinetry and floors, bamboo is a popular trend in the green theme.

•Unplug your computer each night and save up to $90 worth of electricity every year.

The Tulsa House Beautiful Show will be Sept. 5-7. For more information, go online to www.tulsahomeshow.com.
