Jimmerson was one of five school officials sanctioned, including principal Micheal Johnson, who has been removed from the athletic department for accepting transfer students "for the purposes of athletic participation,” according to a 49-page report released by the school.

karma karma karma. jimmerson is the most classless coach in oklahoma. if scoring 90 on miami a few weeks ago didnt prove it, then this definately does. he thought it was pretty cool to throw the ball in the 3rd quarter up 72-0 on a school with the enrollment of 500. this guy doesn't deserve to coach high school kids and this made my day reading that he's been busted for cheating. he knew what he was doing was wrong but didnt care because that might keep him from hangin' another 90 on some small rural school. lmao. fire this guy

I think we're validating what many have suspected for years: Tulsa schools cheat when it comes to athletics. Jenks? Tulsa Washington? What do you want to bet that Tulsa Union is the next to go down? There's so much money poured into that school that I would bet a year's pay that some extensive recruiting has taken place there.

Burt, transfering into a school district is one thing, moving into a school district is another (legal) thing.

Fair or not, I don't know, but Jenks has 2903. That's more people that's gone thru the Gotebo-Cooperton metroplex this year. We're not uptown like Snyder-Mountain Park, you know, the big city.

1352 students, compared to the 4000 of the Jenks, Unions, and Broken Arrows of the state. HA, that is hardly fair! Imagine if they combined all of the Mid-Schools- that would equal Jenks enrollment- Imagine HOW GOOD the ONE Mid-Del school would be. Midwest City, Carl Albert, AND Del City playes all on one team.

According to the OSSAA website, the '09-'10 ADM for Del City is 1352 and they come in at #30 (out of 32 6A schools). A school with 1100 would come in at #40 on the list, or the 8th largest 5A school.

burt, a mighty intelligent one you must be. carl albert as a big school? that recruits? hardly so. their school would be lucky to top 1000 students. also, its funny that you mention school names yet have no players to name? i am guessing you were a jv all star at a school like noble or choctaw, where winning is a way of life...

Burt, you obviously know nothing about this subject. "Big schools" like...Del City? Del City is the smallest 6A school in the state with 1,100 students. Schools like Broken Arrow have 4,800. If they were recruiting, shouldn't they have the intelligence to drop to 5A where they would easily dominate? Check this years current roster and you will see that the players have been attending Del City schools since they were children. If a south eastern Oklahoma school is in trouble, then your comments may have validity.

Burt, That's a pretty broad brush you are painting with. I mean, Del City???? C'mon. I grew up there. If there was some recruiting going on there, then the recruiter should be arrested for fraud. In our history, we've had 1 basketball championship and 1 football championship - hardly a legacy that would indicate rampant recruiting. If you have names, then let's hear 'em. It is funny, though, how you left MWC off the list. Did you graduate from there? I mean, if we're going to discuss low-rent cheaters...

We have joked for at least 30 years about this practice. I'm wondering why all of the sudden OSSAA is enforcing these rules. Big schools like Carl Albert, Del City, Putnam City, Edmond, Norman, Moore have all recruited star players to transfer into their systems to be football players. It was a preview of the college athletic scholarship program. Even in the small hamlet of Mcalester you have kids that live way out in the country who transfer into Mcalester because of their sports programs. Their parents wait each morning at Talawanda and Mitchell Road at the city limit and wait for the buses to arrive at that spot then drop the kids off for the day. At 3:15 P.M. they are back for the buses to drop them off. A ritual that has gone on for generations as the rural folk don't like their antiquated schools. Well, the alternative is to let their kids graduate from a class of 20. Not exactly where a college scout would go.
