Tulsa wind tower plant to close, lay off 131 workers
A wind tower factory in Tulsa will close in January, resulting in the loss of 131 jobs.
Fort Worth , Texas -based Trinity Structural Towers told their Tulsa employees on Monday that the plant closure and layoffs are a result of the current economic downturn.
The company makes towers for wind turbines and as late as Aug. 30 said it had a $1.6 billion backlog in orders.
