Tulsa junior basketball player Jillian Robbins has been named as Conference USA’s women’s athlete of the year, league commissioner Britton Banowsky said Tuesday.

Robbins, a 6-foot-1 forward from Spring, Texas, led the Golden Hurricane to a 26-6 record and a spot in the second round of the NCAA tournament. She led Conference USA in scoring (17.9 points per game) and rebounding (12.8 per game) and also led Tulsa in steals and blocked shots.

She recorded 21 double-doubles and received honorable mention on The Associated Press’ All-America list.

“I believe Conference USA is one of the top conferences in the nation, and I am very fortunate to play in a league with so many talented individuals,” Robbins said.
