Tulsa's Jackson named C-USA Player of the Week

TULSA, Okla. (AP) — University of Tulsa linebacker Shawn Jackson has been named the Conference USA Defensive Player of the Week.

Jackson's selection was announced Monday following TU's 24-14 win on Saturday over Louisiana Tech.

Jackson had 10 tackles in the win, including three quarterback sacks, and an interception.

Texas-San Antonio quarterback Eric Soza and East Carolina quarterback Shane Carden are C-USA co-Offensive Players of the Week and the Special Teams Player of the Week is Tulane placekicker Cairo Santos.
