In case you missed it, here’s a recap of the week’s news in the metro area.
Holidays. Families throughout the metro area sit down to
Thanksgiving dinners. Surviving turkeys gobble sighs of relief.
Holidays. Christmas begins immediately after Thanksgiving dinner. Meanwhile, madness began Friday morning.
Shopping. Shoppers throughout the metro raid stores to take advantage of early bird sales. Black Friday injury report comes in: dozens were disabled by leg cramps from waiting in line and one woman was tickled to death by Elmo.
Government. The state House of Representatives will start filing bills electronically. Next, they’ll starting using "the Google” and "the Internets.”
Business. Research shows Oklahoma home values rose 2.8 percent in the third quarter. Too bad everyone’s retirement account declined about 5 million percent in the same period.
Weather. Unusually high temperatures hung around through Thanksgiving. Winter waits patiently on the sidelines.
Fun. Downtown in December kicks off. Now it’s time to watch ice skaters fall on television.
Travel. Number of air travelers drops at Will Rogers World Airport by 20 percent. We’re all using the economy as an excuse not to visit crazy relatives.
