This season, Tuttle senior Nick Mills expects to be more of a receiving threat from the tight end position for new quarterback Jett Jobe. Mills also stars on defense for the Tigers, and Missouri is showing interest in him as a defensive end.
Q: What's it like to play at a program with so much tradition?
A: It's great to play at Tuttle. I love football season, that's my favorite time of the year. Living there, you just can't wait to be able to put on the pads and get going.
How is it playing for Coach Koons?
He's a little tough on us sometimes. He gets after you, but he's a great coach. He's always about wanting to win, and motivating us to be the same way. We trust him. We know he knows what he's doing, so it's important that we believe in that.
You have a new quarterback this year (Jett Jobe), how's he been doing?
He just moved in and he's getting used to the plays. He hasn't got everything down quite yet, but he's getting there. He has a great arm and he's fast, so I think he'll be able to run our offense pretty well.
