Twitter Launches New #Music App Published: April 18, 2013

Twitter launched its new #music app on Thursday, hoping to change the way people find out about popular tracks and emerging artists.

According to the company’s blog, the new service will also bring artists’ music-related Twitter activity front and center and allow you to tweet songs from the app.

You can also see what songs the people and artists you follow are listening to by searching #NowPlaying.

The tracks come from three sources: iTunes, Spotify or Rdio.

Users can download the app or enjoy the web version that will be rolled out throughout Thursday. Over time, the company said it will bring the service to Android, as well as to more countries.

Right now, the service is available in the U.S., Canada, the U.K., Ireland, Australia and New Zealand.

What do you think of the new app? Leave your reviews below.
