Agents from the bureau's human trafficking unit developed leads in the Patton homicide while searching for Wilson, Woodward said.
“We don't have anything right now that directly ties them to Jaray Wilson's disappearance,” Woodward said.
But even though Paz was only arrested on a weapons charge in October, he was not cleared in her disappearance.
Woodward said agents have not uncovered evidence that points to Wilson being kidnapped or sold to a human trafficking ring.
“We have not been able to point in one single direction. We're getting some leads, and that's positive. With the arrests today, hopefully that will get someone who knows something to speak out,” Woodward said.
