Police are searching for a man wanted in connection with the shooting deaths of two brothers from Texas, according to an arrest warrant filed Monday in Oklahoma County District Court.

Corey Brown, 37, of Leander, Texas, and Shannon Brown, 34, of Cedar Park, Texas, were killed about midnight Monday, detective Ryan Porter wrote in the warrant.

A witness told police Doyle Wayne Briggs, 34, shot the brothers in the 700 block of NE 5. Both died at the scene.

A short time later, officers responding to the scene saw a car that matched the description of the car in the shooting run a stop sign, police Master Sgt. Gary Knight said. As the officers attempted to pull the car over, the driver led police on a short chase before crashing at NE 17 and N Lottie Avenue. The occupants of the car ran away and are still at large.
