Clayton Paul Cribb, 23, Eagletown

Shortly before 1:30 a.m. Friday, Cribb was driving an all-terrain vehicle south on a McCurtain County road when he pulled out in front of a sport utility vehicle that was eastbound U.S. 70, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

Cribb, who was not wearing a helmet, died at the scene, troopers said.

The SUV's driver — Whitney Rae Shott, 22, of DeQueen, Ark. — was treated and released from an Arkansas hospital. A passenger in Shott's SUV wasn't hurt.

Both SUV occupants were wearing their seat belt, troopers said.

Portia Rutledge, 26, Okmulgee

Shortly before 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Rutledge was driving a pickup at a high rate of speed north on an Okmulgee County gravel road, near Eufaula Street, when she lost control of the pickup, troopers said. The pickup struck several telephone poles, throwing Rutledge from the vehicle.

One pickup passenger was treated at the scene; another pickup passenger was treated and released from an Okmulgee hospital.

No occupants were wearing their seat belt, troopers said.
