Two deaths in Mannford, Oklahoma, were murder-suicide, medical examiner rules

— The state medical examiner Wednesday said two men found dead in a Mannford home in June died as a result of a murder-suicide.

Don Ray Stanford, 53, and Ward Ray Bartlett, 60, were found dead on June 18 at a home in the 35000 block of W Basin Road in Mannford.

The medical examiner determined Stanford and Bartlett both died from gunshot wounds to the head. Bartlett’s death was determined to be a homicide, and Stanford’s death was suicide, according to the medical examiner.

Stanford had been staying at Bartlett’s home, Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation officials said.
