Two people died after separate vehicle crashes Saturday, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported.

Carolyn Krawetzke, 55, Sapulpa

Krawetzke was passenger in a sport utility vehicle that was hit by a sedan just after 8:30 a.m. at 61st Street South and State Highway 97 in Tulsa County. The sedan was eastbound on 61st Street South when its driver ran a stop sign and hit the SUV, which was northbound on the highway, troopers said. The driver of the sedan — Taylor Rooks, 20, of Sapulpa — was treated at a hospital and released. The driver of the SUV — Dennis Krawetzke, 62, of Sapulpa — was admitted to the hospital for observation.

Richard Pollett, 42, Dearing, Kan.

Pollett died just after noon Saturday after his sedan crashed into the side of a tractor-trailer in Craig County, troopers said. Pollett was eastbound on State Highway 10, near Welch, when he ran a stop sign and hit the truck, which was southbound on State Highway 2, troopers said. Neither his passenger — Lisa R. Pollett, 48, also of Dearing, Kan. — nor the driver of the tractor-trailer — Efrain Tarin, 44, of Presidio, Texas — were injured, troopers said.
