Two people died in seperate crashes on Oklahoma roads Friday evening.

Aubrey Baty, 84

Baty was driving east in the westbound lane of I-40 near Czech Hall Road shortly before 11:30 p.m. Friday when he struck a semi truck driven by Humberto Ortego Jr., 64, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported.

Baty, of Mustang, was pinned for a half hour before Oklahoma City firefighters pulled him from the wreckage, troopers said. He was transported to OU Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead shortly after 3:30 a.m. Saturday.

Cale Drumm, 39

Drumm, of Stillwater, was driving a 1967 Ford Mustang on McMurtry Road west of Stillwater shortly before 6:45 p.m. Friday when he ran off the right side of the road. Drumm then swerved left, sending the car into a broad slide, troopers reported. The car then ran off the left side of the road, striking a tree.

Troopers reported Drumm was driving at an unsafe speed at the time of the crash. He was transported to OU Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead at 9:21 p.m. Friday.
