Two die in Interstate 35 collision
Two people died and four others were hurt in an early morning crash on Interstate 35 in Logan County.
Tosha Hanifen, 29, of Ponca City, and an unidentified man, 33, of Albuquerque, N.M., died in a four-vehicle crash just after 2 a.m. Saturday near mile marker 155 in Logan County, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported.
The New Mexico man's vehicle was traveling south in a northbound lane when it crashed into a pickup and a van, troopers said. The vehicle then went into a slide and was hit by Hanifen's car.
A passenger in Hanifen's car, Aaron Hollins, 23, of Watonga, was taken to OU Medical Center, where he remained in serious condition late Saturday with head, arm and leg injuries.
The driver and a passenger in the pickup declined treatment for minor injuries. The driver of the van was treated and released at a hospital, troopers said.
Northbound traffic was diverted for more than four hours while emergency personnel cleared the wreckage.
