Two die in Pontotoc County crash

Two people are dead after a Pontotoc County crash Tuesday, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported.

Lauren Hatton, 22, of Ada, and Boyd Bolin, 47, of Collinsville, were dead at the scene of a crash about 5:30 p.m. Tuesday on State Highway 1, about two miles east and two miles north of Roff.

Bolin was driving a pickup north on SH 1 when a car driven south by Hatton went left of center and struck a trailer being pulled by a northbound pickup driven by Jarrod Newby, 28, of Ada. Hatton's car then hit Bolin's pickup head-on, the patrol reported.

Bolin was dead at the scene of massive injuries. Hatton was taken to an Ada hospital where she was pronounced dead. Tyton Hatton, age 2 months, was flown to OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City where he was in stable condition with internal injuries, the patrol reported.

Newby and his passenger Steven Skokos, 48, of Ada, were not injured.

Seat belts were in use by Newby and Skokos only, the patrol reported.
