Four die in wrecks on Oklahoma roads

Crashes on Oklahoma roadways Friday and Saturday left four men dead, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported.

Four people have died after wrecks on state roads, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported.

Jay Bradley Ragsdale, 48, Roosevelt

Jerry Lee Jackson, 62, Roosevelt

Ragsdale was the driver of a westbound pickup that went off the roadway about 7:25 a.m. Saturday on County Road 1420 near U.S. 183 in Kiowa County. Two passengers, Jackson and Gates Hunter Jennings, 23, of Roosevelt, were also in the vehicle, troopers said. All three were ejected.

Both Ragsdale and Jackson were pronounced dead at the scene. Jennings was taken to OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City with head, trunk, external and leg injuries, troopers said.

Seat belts were not used, troopers said.

Thomas Cosper, 81, Coalgate

Cosper was driving westbound about 11:30 p.m. Friday on the State Highway 9A ramp to southbound U.S. 69 in Pittsburg County. His car went off the wet roadway and rolled several times, troopers said.
