Three die in accidents in Oklahoma

Jonathon Seward, 30, of Fort Gibson, Herbert Floyd Hyde, 77, of Moore, and Paul Watson, 49, of Maramec, died in vehicle accidents on Oklahoma roads, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported.

Three people died in accidents on state roads, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported.

Paul Watson, 49, Maramec

About 4 p.m. Saturday, Watson was driving east on Pawnee County Road 5200 about one mile west and two miles north of Maramec. At a railroad crossing, the vehicle was hit by a northbound train. Watson, who was not wearing a seat belt, died at the scene, troopers said.

Terri Watson, 49, of Maramec, and a girl were taken to hospitals for treatment.

Herbert Floyd Hyde, 77, Moore

About 6:30 p.m., Hyde was trying to cross Interstate 35 at S 19 in Cleveland County on foot. Hyde was crossing from west to east and was struck in the northbound lanes by a tractor-trailer, troopers reported.

Hyde died at the scene, troopers reported.

Jonathon Seward, 30, Fort Gibson

About 5:15 p.m., Seward was driving a pickup south on State Highway 80 in Cherokee County. The pickup went off the road in a curve about a mile and a half south of Canyon Road and struck an embankment and a utility pole. Seward was not wearing a seat belt and died at the scene, troopers reported. has disabled the comments for this article.
