A Stillwater man and an Arkansas woman are dead after separate crashes on state roads, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported.

Sean M. Kelly, 53, Stillwater

Kelly was in a crash about 3 p.m. Wednesday two miles west of Cushing on State Highway 33 at Stiles Road, the patrol reported.

Kelly was driving a car east on SH 33 when a dump truck driven east by David Bruce Thomas, 51, of Shawnee, started to pass Kelly.

Kelly attempted to make a left turn, and the dump truck hit Kelly's car.

Kelly was flown to St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa, where he died Thursday.

Thomas was not injured.

Both men wore seat belts.

Jana Dennis, 34, Van Buren, Ark.

Dennis was the passenger in a pickup driven by Joel Burrough, 35, of Van Buren, Ark.

About 7 a.m. Friday, the truck was eastbound on Interstate 40 in Sequoyah County when it left the highway and rolled three times, ejecting Burrough and partially ejecting Dennis, the patrol reported.

Burrough was taken to Sparks Hospital in Fort Smith with head, trunk, internal, arm and leg injuries. Dennis was pronounced dead at the scene.

Dennis was the only one wearing a seat belt. has disabled the comments for this article.
