Two earthquakes recorded Saturday in Oklahoma

A 3.4-magnitude quake was felt near Medford and a 3.1-magnitude quake was registered near Perry, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.

A 3.4-magnitude earthquake was felt Saturday evening near Medford, and a 3.1-magnitude quake was recorded earlier in the day near Perry, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.

The quake about seven miles east of Medford in Grant County struck about 8:41 p.m. It was about 21/2 miles deep, survey geologists reported.

Twelve hours earlier, about 8:25 a.m., the 3.1-magnitude quake was recorded about nine miles southwest of Perry in Noble County. It was about 3 miles deep.

Authorities in the two counties received no immediate reports of injuries or damage from the quakes.
