ELMORE CITY — Two people died Saturday after a head-on crash in Garvin County, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported.
Lance Todd Pemberton, 20, of Ringling, and Gayla Ann Jackson, 45, of Pauls Valley, died at the scene of the crash, troopers said.
About 9:20 p.m., Pemberton was driving east on State Highway 29, a half-mile east of Elmore City, when the pickup went out of control, crossed the centerline and struck the westbound van Jackson was driving, troopers said.
A passenger in the pickup, Hunter Watson, 20, of Davis, was flown to OU Medical Center in critical condition. A passenger in the van Jackson was driving, Alicia Reanne Busey, 25, of Elmore City, was treated at a Norman hospital and released.
