Police and the FBI are searching for two men who robbed a bank at gunpoint Friday morning.

About 10:30 a.m. Friday, two Hispanic men entered Bank of the West, 5757 Northwest Expressway, and began yelling for everyone to get on the ground, authorities said.

One man was wearing a nylon stocking over his head, and the other was wearing a black ski mask. As they entered the bank, one of the men shot a blank round into the air from a black revolver, the FBI reported.

The man wearing the nylon stocking told the tellers to empty the drawers into plastic bags while the bank occupants remained on the ground.

The two men left with an undisclosed amount of money. No one was injured.

They were last seen driving an SUV with faded blue paint out of the parking lot toward Northwest Expressway and N MacArthur Boulevard, the FBI reported.

The man wearing the nylon stocking is described as having a medium build and wearing a dark long-sleeve shirt with horizontal stripes, a dark baseball cap, white gloves and dark pants.

The man wearing the ski mask is described as having a medium build and wearing a green long-sleeve shirt, blue jeans, dark gloves and carrying a black revolver.

Anyone with information about the robberies is asked to call the FBI at 290-7770. Callers may remain anonymous.
