Oklahoma City Police on Monday released the names of one man who was killed and another who was injured early Sunday in a drive-by shooting.
Raymond Huddleston, 34, was shot and killed and Anthony Jackson, 35, was shot and wounded in the incident in northwest Oklahoma City. Jackson was hospitalized Monday. Hospital officials would not release information about his condition.
Another man also was shot and killed, but his name has not been released, police Sgt. Jennifer Wardlow said.
Police responded to reports of a drive-by shooting about 2:40 a.m. at the Pulse Events Center, 6903 Roxbury, near Northwest Expressway and Wilshire Boulevard.
Police said some type of disturbance at the club led to the shooting.
Dean Smith, owner of the events center, said the facility was rented Saturday night for a private hip hop music party.
“The client that had rented it out was having a showcase of talent, I guess, musical talent,” he said. “They were having different performers at different times through the night.”
Smith said 250 people were expected at the party, but only 75 showed up. At the time of the shooting about three dozen stragglers remained.
Pulse Events Center was opened 2 1/2 years ago as an events center for local teenagers, but now also hosts weddings, banquets and other private parties.
