The two off-duty Emergency Medical Services Authority paramedics were arrested Sunday after a fight at a union meeting ended with one pistol whipping the other, Oklahoma City police reported.

Police responded about 10:45 p.m. to an assault with a deadly weapon call at Old Chicago, according to the report.

Erik Kilmer, 38, told police he and David Austin Wright, 34, both paramedics with the Emergency Medical Services Authority, had been arguing over union issues and went outside the restaurant at 2125 SW 74.
The argument escalated quickly, and Kilmer made a comment referencing himself and Wright's girlfriend, according to the report.
Kilmer told police Wright then pulled a semi-automatic pistol from his waistband and pistol-whipped him two times.
Kilmer's left eye was swollen and bloody after the altercation, according to the report.
Another EMSA employee told police he tried to break up the fight twice but Kilmer started swinging his fists at Wright, then Wright pulled something from his waistband and swung it at Kilmer a few times.
Neither Kilmer nor Wright wanted to press charges against the other, according to the report.
