Police are seeking a man they believe burglarized two Oklahoma City homes while the residents were inside and in bed.

The first home was burglarized July 1 at 10501 Crystal Creek Drive. The residents told police a door sensor beeped about 4 a.m. Later that morning, residents discovered items missing from the garage and a wallet missing from a car.

An hour after the burglary, the thief was on a spending spree at a nearby Walmart, police said.

On July 7, there was a similar burglary at 5905 Saint James Place. A woman was awakened with a call from her bank alerting her to excessive charges being made at a Walmart. She discovered the door to her garage and two of the home's doors were open, with items missing from her car including her purse, a laptop and an iPad.

Police retrieved video footage from the store. They are looking for a white male who drives a red Ford Escape or Explorer, Sgt. Jennifer Wardlow said.
