Three killed in wrecks on Oklahoma roads

Craig Allen Beavers, 60, and Leisa Larae Beavers, 49, both of Alva, OK, died Monday night after a collision in Grant County. Francis Harris, 64, of Broken Arrow, died in a collision near State Highway 51 on-ramp, authorities said.

A Broken Arrow woman died Tuesday afternoon following a wreck, and two motorcyclists were killed in a crash Monday evening, authorities said.

About 12:10 p.m. Tuesday, Harris was making a left turn from 232nd E Ave. onto the eastbound State Highway 51 on-ramp in Broken Arrow but pulled into the path of a westbound pickup.

The impact of that collision forced the car Harris was driving into the eastbound lanes of 232nd E Ave. where it was struck by a second pickup, Broken Arrow police Sgt. Ed Ferguson said.

Harris died at the scene, Ferguson said. The pickup drivers suffered only minor injuries and refused treatment at the scene, he said.

All involved were wearing seat belts.

The pair were westbound on a motorcycle on State Highway 11 about 6:20 p.m. Monday when an eastbound sport utility vehicle attempted a left turn onto a Grant County road, about four miles west of Medford, according to an Oklahoma Highway Patrol report.

The motorcycle hit the SUV and both motorcyclists were pronounced dead at the scene, troopers said. has disabled the comments for this article.
