Two Oklahoma youths struck, killed in separate wrecks

Mathew Logan T. Hankins, 16, of Welch, died after he was struck by a train, and Christopher Seaton, 11, of Tulsa, died after he was struck by by three cars, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported Sunday.

An 11-year-old Tulsa boy died after he was struck by three vehicles while crossing Interstate 44, and a 16-year-old Welch boy died after he was struck by a train, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported.

Mathew Logan T. Hankins, 16, Welch

About 5:15 p.m. Sunday, Hankins was jogging south on the Union Pacific tracks near U.S. 59 and First Street in Welch when he was struck by a southbound train, troopers said.

Hankins died at the scene, troopers said.

Christopher Seaton, 11, Tulsa

About 4:20 p.m. Sunday, Seaton was crossing Interstate 44, between Interstate 244 and U.S. 75 in Tulsa. When he jumped over a concrete barrier into the westbound lanes, he was struck by three westbound vehicles. The first vehicle left the scene, troopers said.

Christopher died at the scene, troopers said.
