Police arrested two people after a newspaper carrier reported gunfire early Friday, police report.

Gunfire was reported at SE 36 and S Eastern Avenue about 5 a.m., said Master Sgt. Gary Knight.

The newspaper carrier was not injured.

A pursuit ended near NE 17 and Miramar Drive. The names of the two people arrested were not immediately available. One person got away.
