Three people died Monday and Tuesday after accidents on Oklahoma roadways, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported.
Joseph Phillip Sabella II, 48, of Fort Gibson.
Carol Mattheis Gonzalez, 68, of Haskell.
The collision happened about 8:40 p.m. Monday on State Highway 16, about 10 miles west of Muskogee.
Sabella was driving a van east on SH 16 when he went left of center and struck a car driven west by Gonzalez. Sabella did not wear a seat belt. Gonzalez wore a seat belt.
Sabella was pronounced dead at a Muskogee hospital. Gonzalez was dead at the scene, troopers said.
Casey Marie Benoit, 23, of Lone Wolf.
About 1:45 p.m. Tuesday, Benoit was a passenger in a car driven by Ryan Stothers, 23, of San Mateo, Fla., south on County Road 2090. Smothers overcorrected to get back on the roadway and rolled multiple times, troopers said.
Benoit was ejected from the car and died at the scene. Smothers, who was wearing a seat belt, was not injured and another passenger was treated and released. Benoit and the other passenger were not wearing seat belts, troopers said.
