Two shot in Payne County domestic dispute

Payne County sheriff's Capt. Kevin Woodward said a 52-year-old man was arrested after two family members were shot in a home about five miles west of Stillwater.

A 52-year-old man is in custody accused of shooting two family members in a home about five miles west of Stillwater on Tuesday afternoon, authorities said.

The victims — described as a male and female in their 20s — were flown to OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City, Payne County sheriff's Capt. Kevin Woodward said. They are expected to survive.

Names were not released and the exact relationship between the shooter and victims has not been confirmed.

About 4:20 p.m., deputies responded to a domestic dispute-shooting call near W 32nd and Hackelman Road, Woodward said.

The shooter is also is being treated for injuries at a Tulsa hospital, Woodward said.
