Two women found dead in Wagoner County, sheriff reports

One woman was found with a gunshot wound to the head. Both bodies were taken to the state medical examiner's office.

WAGONER — The deaths of two women, one who was found shot in the head, are under investigation Friday, according to a news release from the Wagoner County sheriff.

The women were discovered by family members at separate locations Thursday, according to the release.

In the White Horn Cove area, Rose M. Teixeira, 82, was found dead of a gunshot wound to the head. A loaded revolver was recovered at the scene, according to the news release.

Teixeira was last seen shortly before 1 p.m. by a neighbor who gave her a ride to the store. Her body was discovered by her daughter and son-in-law when they came home after a day on the lake.

Vickie Lynn Hill, 53, was last seen when the family had dinner Wednesday. She lived on her parents' property in the Rocky Point area. Hill's father forced entry into her home when he was unable to make contact with her Thursday and found his daughter not breathing, the release states.

The bodies of both women have been taken to the state medical examiner's office. has disabled the comments for this article.
