U.S. Senior Open volunteers can play round of golf at Oak Tree National in Edmond

Volunteers who work four four-hour shifts during the course of the seven-day 2014 U.S. Senior Open are eligible for a round of golf at Oak Tree National in Edmond.

Volunteers for the 2014 U.S. Senior Open will be given the opportunity to play a round of golf at Oak Tree National, the site of the championship on July 7-13, when they work the total shifts necessary to qualify with their committees.

All volunteers are asked to work four four-hour shifts during the course of the seven-day event. Specific dates and times for play will be determined by staff following the completion of the U.S. Golf Association championship.

Volunteer opportunities are available for 15 committees including admissions, corporate hospitality, merchandise and product distribution.

People interested in volunteering should go to, where registration and a full description of each committee’s responsibilities are available. Volunteers can specify committee preferences through online registration and choose the four dates and times that work best for their schedule.

The basic volunteer package costs $125 and includes one championship golf shirt, a championship windbreaker, a championship ball cap or visor, a water bottle and one volunteer credential valid for all seven days of the championship. Volunteers will be provided snacks, meals and beverages during their scheduled volunteer shifts.
