UCLA beats Oregon St. for 9th straight time, 66-63

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Nirra Fields scored 18 points and Atonye Nyingifa added 17 points and 11 rebounds as UCLA held on to beat Oregon State 66-63 on Monday.

It was Nyingifa's sixth double-double of the season and she added five steals for the Bruins (10-9, 4-3 Pac-12). Thea Lemberger had 13 points, seven rebounds and five assists for UCLA.

Lemberger scored seven of UCLA's final 11 points over the last 5 minutes. Her final free throw put UCLA up 65-61 with 23 seconds left.

Ruth Hamblin scored 19 points and Sydney Wiese added 17 for Oregon State (10-8, 2-4). The Beavers bench was outscored 17-4. Wiese's 3-point attempt at the buzzer came up short.

UCLA eclipsed the .500 mark for the first time this season and has won nine games in a row against Oregon State.

The Bruins travel to No. 4 Stanford on Friday.
