The Oklahoman's Jenni Carlson took questions from readers in today's Power Lunch Chat. Below is an unedited transcript of the chat.

Jenni Carlson 10:20 a.m. Hey, everyone! We'll start the chat at 11 a.m., but you can leave your questions now. Can't wait to see what everyone wants to talk about!

Jenni Carlson 10:51 a.m. Keep those questions coming, folks. We'll get going in 10 minutes.

Jenni Carlson 11:00 a.m. All right, folks, here we go!

Jenni Carlson 11:01 a.m. Oh, and by the way, I'll be doing our Google+ hangout at the same time as we chat. If my answers are delayed, that's why!

Tyler 11:01 a.m. what is your opinion on about the new Sooner Sports TV

Jenni Carlson 11:01 a.m. Hey, Tyler! Always good to hear from you. ...

Jenni Carlson 11:02 a.m. I don't think much is going to change for folks who want to watch Sooner events. If anything, people should be able to see MORE events. Like non-basketball and non-football games. ...

Jenni Carlson 11:03 a.m. It sounds to me like Sooner Sports TV is going to be housed primarily on Fox Sports' regional signals. So, it's not like the Longhorn Network, which has its own channel or signal. ...

Jenni Carlson 11:04 a.m. Now, I have to admit, this is all sort of new, so I could be proven wrong on some of this. But the way I read it now, that's what I think will be the case with Sooner Sports TV.

Joe 11:04 a.m. Should I be excited about this new TV deal. Is it going to be like the Longhorn Network?

Jenni Carlson 11:06 a.m. Joe, as I just mentioned, it's a bit different than the Longhorn Network in that it's not a stand alone channel, so your cable provider doesn't have to pick up Sooner Sports TV for you to get the programming. ...

Jenni Carlson 11:07 a.m. Now, as for the overall Big 12 TV deal, it is a pretty sweet deal. Long term. Puts games on ESPN, ABC and Fox. It's sure to be big money, too. ...

Jenni Carlson 11:08 a.m. Those things are all good for the Big 12. It means more stability for the conference, which after the upheaval of the past couple years, everyone is looking for stability.

Alan 11:08 a.m. Why is there no line on the OU-Florida A&M game?

Jenni Carlson 11:09 a.m. It's basically because it's a lower-division team vs. OU. Lots of times, Vegas oddsmakers refuse to put odds on these type of games. ...

Jenni Carlson 11:10 a.m. The OSU-Savannah game last week, for example, didn't get a line until Friday. ...

Jenni Carlson 11:12 a.m. There's a chance that some odds will be set, but they'll have to be pretty high. I'd say OU would be a 50 or 55 point favorite.

Jenni Carlson 11:12 a.m. Hey, folks, again I want to remind everyone that I'm doing our Google+ hangout while I'm chatting. That means some of my answers here may be a bit delayed. Hope you'll hang in there with me.

Josh 11:12 a.m. Where does the TV deal rank B12 teams in terms of revenue per team as opposed to other major conferences? Was it more or less than expected? I would think that this will shut down any talk of expansion/contraction for the time being..

Jenni Carlson 11:13 a.m. Josh, I haven't seen a dollar amount on the TV deal just yet. I'll ask while we're chatting and see if I can get a number. ...

Jenni Carlson 11:15 a.m. But in terms of expansion or contraction, I have to think this slows both. The per-school payout is sure to be dang big. That will make teams want to stick around. ...

Jenni Carlson 11:17 a.m. It will also make the league schools hesitant to want to expand and slice up that pie in smaller pieces. ...

Jenni Carlson 11:17 a.m. Let me ask the Google+ folks about this, too. I'll throw in their thoughts here in a minute.

harry man 11:17 a.m. so i hear from my friend in Newcastle that OSU will not be seen in OKC? I wonder if the Sooners played at arizona if they would have shown that GAME..YES

Jenni Carlson 11:18 a.m. Harry Man's here! :) ...

Jenni Carlson 11:19 a.m. I don't know if OU being involved would've changed things, but it would've been interesting. Cox Communications is trying to do a deal to get OSU on. Would Cox have been more motivated if OU was involved? Hard to say.

Tyler 11:19 a.m. Jenni i her that OU is a 51 point favorite on Saturday Game

Jenni Carlson 11:21 a.m. There you go. Hadn't heard that, Tyler. Thanks for sharing. And to me, that spread seems about right.

harry man 11:21 a.m. is that what mike "pine tar former thunder beat writer'' looks like in the paper. my female friend from newcastle sends my papers in hawaii at times...

Jenni Carlson 11:22 a.m. Mike Baldwin has become "Beat Baldwin". That's our new feature, so we've got a new image of Baldwin. I love it, by the way.

Guest 11:22 a.m. Yes, I expect my games to be on TV - Mike! Exactly. We should rise up and demand it!!

Jenni Carlson 11:23 a.m. I agree with you, Guest. I'd love to be able to see the Cowboys on Saturday, too. And like I said, I know that Cox is working to make that happen. ...

Jenni Carlson 11:23 a.m. I just don't know if Cox and the Pac-12 Network are close enough to get a deal done. We should know more today.

harry man 11:25 a.m. why play fla. a&m. why

Jenni Carlson 11:26 a.m. Desperation. OU lost a non-conference game against TCU when TCU became a conference opponent, but that didn't happen until recently. ...

Jenni Carlson 11:27 a.m. So, when OU got desperate, it went looking just about anywhere for an opponent. Its search ultimately landed in Tallahassee with Florida A&M. ...

Jenni Carlson 11:27 a.m. The Rattlers had an opening, was willing to come to OU and gave OU a price for its payout that the Sooners could live with. That's why OU is playing Florida A&M on Saturday.

harry man 11:27 a.m. jenni, tell your sports editor he needs a TIE......but really enjoy this live TV chat to see the truth from you guys at the daily oklahoman

Jenni Carlson 11:29 a.m. Ha ha ... I'll tell him to get with it with the tie. :) ...

Jenni Carlson 11:30 a.m. I'm enjoying the Google+ hangout, too. It messes a bit with the Power Lunch, but overall, I think it's great.

Jenni Carlson 11:34 a.m. All right, folks, I'm out of time on the Power Lunch. Thanks for all your questions and fun stuff. Sorry I didn't get to ask on the hangout about the Big 12 TV deal, but hang with us on NewsOK.com for more as the day goes on.
