To qualify for coverage, Oklahomans must have been uninsured for at least six months and have a problem getting insurance due to a pre-existing condition.
Premiums will range from $185 to $678 per month.
Marc Young, state Insurance Department assistant commissioner, said the coverage will be capped at 1,500 people. Applications should be available on the department's website — www.ok.gov/oid — later this month.
