Union Pacific Railroad tour chugs along with memories

MUSKOGEE — The last steam locomotive built for Union Pacific Railroad pulled into Muskogee on Thursday as part of an eight-state tour to celebrate the railroad’s history and heritage.

A modest but eager crowd was there for the locomotive’s arrival.

"We hear it comin’!” someone said.

"See the steam coming out,” a father said to his son.

Like many, Larry Ross came camera-equipped. He took off work just to see the No. 844.
