TRANSFERS - Jobless workers can be transferred to plants up to 100 miles away from their old factories. Transfers were limited to 50 miles. In plants with large numbers of excess workers, both active and laid-off workers can volunteer for transfers to other plants, and special early retirements and buyouts will be offered.

Jobless workers can be assigned to non-production jobs, like sweeping and sorting inventory, not just to outside jobs.

FACTORIES BEING SOLD - GM agreed that workers in parts plants sold by 1996 will receive the same wages and benefits as other UAW-GM workers at least until then.

VACATION SHUTDOWN - Workers will use one week of existing vacation time during GM's two-week summer shutdown. They'll get paid for the second week instead of receiving a $600 Christmas bonus.

HOLIDAYS - On Memorial Day weekends in 1995 and 1996, workers will get an additional paid day off. BIOG: NAME:
