NORMAN — United Way of Norman has announced the leaders for its 2014 fundraising campaign. Steve and Janet Corley will serve as co-chairs of this year’s drive.
Steve Corley serves as the partner in charge of the three Eide Bailly accounting firm offices in Oklahoma. He has been a practicing certified public accountant in Norman since 1979. Janet Corley has a variety of professional work experiences and currently is spending her time as a glass artist and community volunteer.
“We both share a desire to give back, both of our resources and our time and energy,” Janet Corley said. “We have witnessed the positive impact from the services offered by United Way partner agencies, which ultimately affects the quality of life in Norman.”
The 2014 United Way campaign will begin with the Pacesetter Kickoff July 9 and continue through Dec. 1. Last year, the community donated more than $2.04 million during the campaign.
Money raised by the United Way stays in Norman, funding 43 programs at 27 agencies. The funding is allocated through a competitive grant process every July.
