University bookstore manager admits embezzling more than $1M

A former manager at the Missouri State University Bookstore admitted to embezzling more than $1 million from the Springfield-based university.

The Associated Press reported Mark Brixey pleaded guilty Tuesday to theft, money laundering and filing a false income tax return. He admitted to embezzling more than $1.1 million over eight years.
