University of Central Oklahoma's honor society helps feed the hungry

It's a gift Hope Center director Chris Speery welcomes.
“We always need donations like this — especially this time of year with the holidays approaching,” Speery said.
“When young people do something positive and good like this, it really needs to be recognized and appreciated. It's nice that they care enough about other people.”
The need remains as thousands are helped annually by the Hope Center.
“All of this will last a couple of weeks,” Sperry said, looking at the many shelves of donated food. “We can always use more.”
Perhaps the project was best summed up by Alpha Lambda Delta treasurer Joyclin Jaksons.
“It feels good to help. It really does,” she said.
