University of Oklahoma art students host annual auction

Students and faculty in the University of Oklahoma School of Art and Art History have donated works to be auctioned Friday to raise money for student events.

The University of Oklahoma School of Art and Art History along with the Visual Art Student Association will sponsor an art auction from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday in the school's Lightwell Gallery, 520 Parrington Oval.

School of Art and Art History students and faculty donated work for the auction, with proceeds going to the student association to pay for art-related trips, speakers and other events.

Works to be auctioned include prints, ceramics, painting and photography. Participants can view the exhibition starting at 6 p.m. The auction begins at 7 p.m. Opening bids range from 25 cents to $5.
