During the regents' latest meeting, Boren said the College of Medicine has notched $4.1 million through the first seven months of its Second Century Campaign, a five-year program launched in March on the eve of the medical school's 100th year.

Thus far, the campaign has raised $902,000 in gifts and pledges and $3.2 million more in gift commitments.

OU regents also approved upgrades to L. Dale Mitchell Park, where the men's baseball team plays its home games.

The upgrades will include two new rows of seats behind home plate and a netting backstop. The changes are part of $7 million in upgrades planned for the ballpark, including updated locker rooms and more seating for fans.
