Earlier the weather service had forecast 3 to 6 inches of snow in parts of western Oklahoma, with the potential for higher amounts in the Panhandle.
Forecasters say the snow is expected to develop in western Oklahoma late Monday night and spread east Tuesday.
The weather service says 1 to 3 inches of snow is possible farther east in the state, but little accumulation is expected because of warm ground temperatures.
