Upcoming gym design meetings

A series of community meetings is planned to discuss the design for Oklahoma City elementary schools receiving new gyms and classrooms.

• The Southern Hills Elementary Schools meeting will be at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the school, 7800 S Kentucky. About $1.3 million is budgeted to build a new gym. The school for prekindergarten through fifth-grade students accommodates about 470 students.

• The Nichols Hills Elementary School meeting also will be at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the school, 1301 W Wilshire. About $1.2 million has been set aside to build a gym. The school can accommodate about 460 students in prekindergarten through fifth grade.

• The Stand Waite Elementary School meeting will be at 6 p.m. Thursday at the school, 3517 S Linn. About $1.9 million is budgeted for the gym and classrooms. The school for prekindergarten through sixth-grade students can accommodate about 520 students.
