UPDATE: All clear given after suspicious package reported near OU in Norman

Campus police investigated a suspicious package west of the University of Oklahoma campus near Lindsey Street. The package is harmless, officials said.

10 a.m. The package is harmless, officials report. There is no threat to people in the area west of Stubbeman Village, according to an alert from OU.

9:45 a.m. University of Oklahoma officials in Norman have alerted students and staff about a suspicious package found west of Stubbeman Village on the OU campus about 9:30 a.m. Friday.

Traffic is being diverted from the area in the 1100 block of Elm Avenue.
