UPDATE: Bomb techs open back of stolen U-Haul outside Oklahoma City Hall, truck parked outside overnight

Buildings were evacuated and streets closed downtown after a stolen U-Haul was noticed parked across the street from Oklahoma City Hall.

10:05 a.m. Bomb techs have cut the lock off the back of the stolen truck and opened the cargo area, finding it empty.

Workers at the Civic Center Music Hall said they noticed the truck parked along the street when they left at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Bomb techs in protective gear moved in to look at the truck after it was examined by a robot.

9:55 a.m. Police are using a robot to examine the stolen U-Haul parked across the street from Oklahoma City Hall.

The truck is parked on the west side of Walker next to the park outside the Civic Center Music Hall and across the street from City Hall. Several downtown buildings have been evacuated.

Police were using a robot to examine the truck and determine whether it is safe.

9 a.m. Streets are closed off and Oklahoma City Hall is being evacuated after a stolen U-Haul truck was spotted nearby, police said Wednesday morning.

Capt. Dexter Nelson said several streets are closed. City Hall is being evacuated, and other buildings may also be evacuated.
