UPDATE: Bomb threat lifted at county courthouse.

No evacuation has been ordered for the courthouse, a sheriff's office official said.

1:35 p.m. Deputies no longer are searching the courthouse for a suspicious device, Oklahoma County sheriff's Capt. James Absher said.

Deputies were notified of a threat by Oklahoma City police and searched the courthouse Thursday afternoon.

Deputies found what looks like a bag of trash in the courthouse and it is being tested to confirm its contents, Absher said.

The courthouse was not evacuated, but personnel with the district attorney's office left the building due to rumors of a bomb threat. They have returned to the building, Absher said.

1:05 p.m. Oklahoma County sheriff's office deputies are investigating a bomb threat at the county courthouse.

No evacuation has been ordered for the courthouse, a sheriff's office official said.
