UPDATE: Firefighters battle blaze in southwest Oklahoma City

A structure burned in southwest Oklahoma City. Crews battled the blaze Monday morning.

7 a.m. The fire at 3001 SW 18 is out, a fire official reports. Firefighters found the back of the 1,000 square-foot wood frame residence was burning when they went to investigate a report of smoke in the area. No one was found inside the residence.

6:40 a.m. Firefighters are battling a structure fire near SW 18 and S Independence Avenue Monday morning.

The fire started about 6:30 a.m.
