UPDATE: Flood advisory issued in southeast Oklahoma as rain continues in central Oklahoma Wednesday

Rainfall will continue Wednesday in central Oklahoma. Showers will end Thursday, but southeast Oklahoma is under a flood watch Wednesday.

11 a.m. ANTLERS -- A flood advisory has been issued for the Kiamichi River area near Antlers in Pushmataha County. The county is under a flood advisory Wednesday, the National Weather Service reports. Campers near the river should move to higher ground, the weather service reports.

5 a.m. Rainfall continues across Oklahoma Wednesday, and a flood watch is in effect for parts of southeast Oklahoma, the National Weather Service reports.

Flooding is possible in four counties in southeast Oklahoma. A flood watch is in effect from 6 a.m. Wednesday through Thursday morning, the weather service reports.

Counties under the watch are Latimer, Le Flore, Pittsburg and Pushmataha. The area has had 2 inches to 4 inches of rain and more than 1 inch is possible Wednesday. Low-lying areas may be prone to flooding.

The Oklahoma City forecast is as follows:

Wednesday: Showers. High near 44. Northeast wind around 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80 percent.

Wednesday night: A 50 percent chance of showers. Cloudy with a low around 38. North wind 5 to 9 mph.

Thursday: A 20 percent chance of showers before 1 p.m. Cloudy then gradually becoming mostly sunny with a high near 57. North wind 7 to 9 mph.
