UPDATE: Flood warning for Cimarron River in northwest Oklahoma until Saturday

8:20 a.m. A flooding warning has been issued for Cimarron River areas near Buffalo and near Waynoka in , Harper, Woods and Woodward counties in northwest Oklahoma until Saturday, the National Weather Service reports. Check NewsOK.com for weather updates.

4:50 a.m. Thursday and Friday will be mostly sunny in Oklahoma for the Independence Day holiday weekend.

There is a slight chance of rain Sunday in central Oklahoma, the National Weather Service reports.

The Oklahoma City forecast is as follows:

Thursday: Partly sunny with a high near 85. East wind 5 to 13 mph.

Thursday night: Partly cloudy with a low around 67. Southeast wind 5 to 10 mph.

Friday: Partly sunny with a high near 90. South wind 7 to 13 mph.

Friday night: Partly cloudy with a low around 71. South, southeast wind 10 to 15 mph with gusts as high as 21 mph.

Saturday: Mostly sunny with a high near 94. South wind 10 to 17 mph with gusts as high as 24 mph.

Saturday night: Partly cloudy with a low around 73.

Sunday: A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly sunny with a high near 94.
